ISLAMABAD: The 340MW Chashma unit-3 (C-3), fourth nuclear power plant of the country, has been connected to the national grid. Sources in the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) informed Daily Times that the plant had started supply of electricity to the national grid on a trial basis. The project will attain full power in first fortnight of December, they said, adding that a formal inauguration ceremony of the full power grid connection will be held in December. They added that power generation from the nuclear power plants would reach 1,400MW in the country.
