Much the same as every other kid, Laurent Simons, a 9-year old boy: uses social media, watches films, plays computer games, has a pooch which he walks to the park; however in the following month (December): he is going to become the world’s youngest university graduate—when he will complete a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands. Meet the Belgium origin Dutch boy, Laurent Simons, who started schooling at the age of four, completed his primary in a year then took roughly a year to complete secondary school; followed by two years at college, now the wonder boy is set to finish the three-year bachelor’s program in just nine months. “The speed of his mind — we cannot imagine what is happening in his head. He’s maybe three times smarter than the smartest student we’ve ever had.” (1/2) “Every professor is really enthusiastic about having Laurent, and for us, it’s a unique situation, of course, because he’s the youngest student we’ve ever had,” said Sjoerd Hulshof, the program director at the Eindhoven University. Laurent who has been raised by his grandparents, and as of now both are heart patients. Along these lines, by keeping before their present health circumstance; he pledged to make artificial organs and one day a “full artificial human body”. Further, about his post-graduation he would may join U.S. West Coast university, his father Alexander Simon said. Before going for Ph.D., Laurent will probably study medicine a little, “I’m planning to start my Ph.D. and study a little medicine, but before that, vacation,” but what significant thing he would go for in future is still not been decided. His father Alexander Simon urged “he has smashed everything which he wishes so far… we just can’t predict now” Previously, an American Michael Kevin Kearney holds the record, who did his graduation at the age of 10 years 4 months in Anthropology, 1994. Meanwhile, Laurent’s mother Mrs. Lydia Simon told that a child should enjoy the beauties of life no matter what he/she is proposed to do: it is a balanced life which is well at all. “We don’t want him to get too serious. He does whatever he likes,” she said.
