David Rose, a journalist from Daily Mail came up again to ask whether Shahbaz Sharif is suing him in court for uncovering his corruption from the earthquake alleviation assets since he is in London. He has twitted “Hello Pakistani friends. A lot of you have been asking if Shehbaz Sharif has commenced a lawsuit against me and my newspaper yet. He hasn’t. There is a long process that has to be conducted on paper through lawyers. So far, there is no sign of it”. Hello friends in Pakistan. Several of you have kindly pointed out that Shehbaz Sharif is coming to London today. But to issue a lawsuit he can’t just show up in court. There is a long process that has to be conducted on paper through lawyers. So far, there is no sign of it. — David Rose (@DavidRoseUK) November 19, 2019 As currently, Shahbaz Sharif is in London with his brother the ex- convicted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his health treatment. David Rose, a United Kingdom-based journalist in Daily Mail, earlier published a report on July 14 claiming that Shahbaz Sharif the leader of the opposition has allegedly theft the earthquake relief fund in 2005 which was given by the British government to Pakistani affected people from the disaster. Accordingly, Shahbaz Sharif denied all the charges and took twitter on July 26 where he shared a copy of the legitimate notice which is sent to the British paper Daily Mail and its writer David Rose. Consequently, Shahbaz Sharif made another tweet where he wrote, “Daily Mail stated last month that they would respond to our legal notice on or before 22 Aug & journalist David Rose tweeted on 17Aug that it would be ‘shortly’. My lawyers, however, still have not received a substantive response from DailyMail in defense of their claims against me.” To this, David Rose denied receiving any kind of notice and he made a tweet, “I’m only going to make one comment on Shahbaz Sharif’s recent statements. He [Shahbaz] complains the earthquake was in 2005 before he became CM. But according to evidence already aired in a Pakistani court, the alleged thefts from the quake relief fund were in 2009 and 2011. Refutation?”. It is to be noted, David Rose is the same journalist who debunked the corruption of Nawaz Sharif in his article “Penthouse Pirates”.
