Sir: Dengue fever is a perilous mosquito-borne disease. The patients of dengue fever suffers from vomiting, nausea, muscle and joint pain, heavy loss of blood, a sudden drop in blood pressure, headache and high fever. Unfortunately, the presence of stagnant water in some areas of our locality has invited the dengue virus once again. A sharp increase in dengue cases has been observed around us. The concerned authorities seem flippant with the dengue cases and resultantly, there has been a sudden spike in the dengue cases. The discovery of dengue larvae and fogging operations are immediate needs in the country. SAHIR ISHAQ Turbat
