Sir: on July 30, World Day Against Trafficking Person is observed in Pakistan with the aim of raising awareness among public about human trafficking and the day is an opportunity for the government to take the public in the confidence so as to control the human trafficking in country. Despite the observing day every year, government is failed to control human trafficking. A report disclosed that around 20,000 cases of human trafficking are registered. Human trafficking is a trade of men, women or children for multiple reasons such as forced labour and sex. It is not too late to conduct awareness campaigns against human trafficking to save lives and give awareness about the criminal practice in the country. I urge the authorities concerned to take strict action against people who are involved in trafficking. MUHAMMAD BAKHTIYAR Kech
