ISLAMABAD: The China Radio International CRI-Roots Confucius Classroom in collaboration with PTV organised the first ever Chinese food show (Ziaqa Dosti Ka) to promote Pakistan-China friendship and people-to-people contacts through famous foods recipes at the Roots Millennium Schools One World Campus. CRI representative Chen Xiang organised the event in collaboration with Roots Millennium School and PTV as part of ongoing efforts to promote relationship of love and brotherhood between the people of two countries through common cultural heritage and food. The Chinese food is loved all over the world and it is equally popular in Pakistan. CRI-Roots Confucius Classroom senior correspondent Chen Xiang said that Pakistan is our second home and it is a manifestation of our love and association with the Pakistani people to arrange this food fiesta. The Tai Ji teacher Mr Kevin along with the young Millennial’s from Roots Millennium One World Campus mesmerized the audience by their brilliant performances. The students interacted with the host, Ms Lily, who asked them various questions in Chinese language. The Chinese language skills were highly appreciated by the host and the celebrities attending the event. The Roots Millennium Schools launched the unique Chinese language school initiative four years ago, where now 6,500 students of Roots Millennium Schools are learning Chinese language on full time basis as part of their structured academic study plan and language curriculum from Grade 1 to Grade 7. RMS Students of Chinese Language Program have coined a new generation of young Pakistanis educating themselves with a desire, determination and drive to look for opportunities across all areas of education, trade, commerce, tourism, industry, business and research to help transform Pak-China long standing historic friendship into a partnership.
