Some people are unique and they remain in the pages of history even after their departure from this world. This falls true for the kind-hearted and passionate young lady, the late Saima Ammar. She is someone who showed the people that how life is enjoyed with happiness and commitment. The history of Pakistan in women activism and welfare of persons is not going to be completed if the name of Saima Ammar is missing. She is someone who despite being a blind woman, did not recognize it a burden in her life, but in fact, she has been the main source of lightning the blind people getting education in their lives. She is the true inspiration for the paralyzed and vulnerable people for getting courage to stand in front of the world. Her contributions for her nation are really admirable for which she really deserves Nishane-Imtiaz award. The fact is that education is the only weapon by which one can help change the world for the good and Saima Ammar fought for the educational right of every blind child out there. She did not lead a very comfortable and luxurious life herself but played an immense role promoting educational culture among the blind society of Pakistan Furthermore, Saima being a blind girl, was very interested in working with people and organisations that are fruitful for the nation. And therefore, she did not consider her blindness an hindrance in her life, but in fact, she went on and with her only dream to help out the blind kids in Pakistan so that there must remain an option for their education. She is of course courageous and a true leader with her aims that are not less than any other leader because her ideas and thoughts for the blind and paralyzed are a kind of examples for each women in Pakistan. She is true woman with strong feelings that life is not limited only what we demand. However she lacks the sight of her eyes, but it was not an excuse for her as she was committed towards her dreams. The fact is that education is the only weapon by which one can help change the world for the good and Saima Ammar fought for the educational right of every blind child out there. She did not lead a very comfortable and luxurious life herself but played an immense role promoting educational culture among the blind society of Pakistan. Pakistan Foundation Fighting Blindness (PFFB) recorded the text books in shape audio cassettes under her commands for the blind people. What if they cannot read but they can listen and listening is the most beautiful part when it comes to learning the things in one way or another. Her cassettes of that audio are available for each blind student with a very low price and apart from this, this work is done with immense respect and love which will ever remain positive for the upcoming generation. Ammar was not just a blind girl who lived and passed away. Her intentions and desires were ambitious and pure for her country and most importantly for children. She was a true icon of change for every woman in Pakistan as her contributions towards this goal show us. She is deserving of a Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Order of Excellence) for her bravery and extraordinary contributions since she was committed towards her dream which was to promote education among the paralysed community in Pakistan.
