The taxes on all mobile phones which are charged by top-up cards have been renewed by the Supreme Court. The short order read by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa states that the top court is not going to interfere in the matters of public revenue and tax collection. The apex court had postponed the deduction of taxes in June 2018 on prepaid cards. While completing the ‘suo motu’ case the court also inserted the stay order placed on the collection of mobile phone taxes.
