Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has finally broken silence over constantly comparing with former chief minister Shehbaz Sharif. In an interview on Wednesday, CM Buzdar was asked what he thinks on always being compared with his predecessor. Replying to the query he said, “No doubt, Shehbaz Sharif had much greater experience. He kept ruling Punjab for 30 years while I got the chance for the first time. However, I will show my performance to the people.” The Punjab Chief Minister said that not even single file is currently pending in the CM Office. “Time will tell how I proved to be as the chief minister,” he said. There have been reports that Prime Minister Imran Khan is unhappy over the performance of CM Buzdar. Chairman PEMRA presented annual report to CM Earlier on, Usman Buzdar said that taking care of the children suffering from the Down syndrome is our responsibility and such children deserve special attention of the society. In his message on World Down Syndrome Day here on Wednesday, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that securing the future of such children is a collective responsibility and sustained efforts are needed to make them a useful citizen of the society. There is also a need to run an awareness campaign for educating the people about trisomy 21, he added. The Chief Minister disclosed that the government has planned to initiate a comprehensive program of rehabilitation of children with Down Syndrome. The purpose of celebrating this day is to educate the people about the rights of children suffering from Down syndrome, he added. Usman Buzdar said that we should make a commitment that efforts of rehabilitation and treatment of such children will be continued in an organized manner. Securing future of children with Down Syndrome a collective responsibility: Buzdar speaks on World Down Syndrome Day Later on, Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Muhammad Saleem Baig called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office here on Wednesday and presented the annual report to him. Talking to the Chairman PEMRA, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the media plays an important role in formulating public opinion. He further stated that multifarious role of media has increased in this modern era. The electronic media has developed rapidly and its role in national development is a real fact, the Chief Minister added.
