Fashion Pakistan Council (FPC) is all set to present Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW) – Spring/Summer (SS) 2019. Commencing with a grand opening on March 12 and concluding on March 14; Fashion Pakistan’s S/S ’19 showcase promises to bring forth the best of Pakistani fashion. Directed and choreographed by Nubain Ali, the show’s diverse line-up includes a mix of acclaimed and new designers, presenting on the runway their latest collections. Opening with a solo showcase exhibiting the works of Pakistan’s finest design duo, Sana Safinaz; FPW – S/S 19 will go on to bring on to ramp, the best of retail, prêt, luxury prêt and menswear designs on Day Two by Generation, Yasmin Zaman, Nauman Arfeen, Gul Ahmed, Obaid Sheikh, AlKaram, Boheme by Kanwal and Sania Maskatiya. This will be followed by a display of the latest summer bridal trends by Nomi Ansari, Huma Adnan, Amir Adnan, Saira Shakira, Zainab Chottani, The Pink Tree Company and Tena Durrani. With an evening dedicated to summer bridals, FPW – S/S ’19, will be a season of many firsts. With the show shifting venue to an outdoor setting, leading designers are all set to send exciting fashion down the runway of fashion’s three-day gala event. “The council and I are delighted to announce the first fashion week of the season. With a strong line-up of designers showcasing their fabulous new collections, spectacular couture and bridal designs, there’s a fantastic three days of fashion in store for everyone. I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone to FPW – S/S ’19 – a season set to be one of the most exciting yet,” FPC Chairperson Deepak Perwani said. This season, Fashion Pakistan will introduce Samiya Ansari of Sabs the Salon as the official stylist and hair/make-up partner for FPW. Presenting the latest trends for the upcoming season, Samiya Ansari and her team will design the on-ramp look and feel of the show. Faisal Farooqui of Dragonfly will be the official photographer for FPW – S/S ’19 Munira Valika, Aamir Lakhani and their team at Production 021 will be handling event design and execution.
