KARACHI. Two sisters were wounded in a hand grenade attack at their residence in the outskirt of a metropolis on Tuesday.The sisters – 19-year-old Samreen and 17 year old Sanam, were wounded when their house located at Koohi Goth in Landhi within the limits of Shah Latif police station came under attack with a hand grenade which exploded with a loud bang.Both the sisters got injured in the incident and were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medical treatment where doctors termed their condition out of danger. Their father, Qadir Buksh told the police that the incident occurred when his daughters were asleep at a room on the roof of their single storey house.Buksh accused his relative, Sajjid of being involved in the incident. “Sajjid is been interested in getting marriage with one of my daughters which we have already refuted,” the victims’ father told police in his recorded statement. The accused, according to Qadir Buksh, has also been giving life threatening messages to him and his family before the incident.The Police officials also reached the spot and collected the evidences. Police officials said that the accused is a member of the gang war and also a drug addict. Shah Latif SHO Ikhlaq Ahmed said that the police have registered an FIR No. 16/17 on behalf of Buksh against Sajjid and has initiated further investigation. The officer said that the police have yet to investigate the actual motive behind the incident. No arrest has been made till the filing of this news.
