President Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) Dr. Mahboob Hussain condemned President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) on faculty terminations and announced black day on February 19, 2019. According to the statement, the black day was announced in executive body meeting of FAPUASA, attended by executive council represented by all provinces. The participants said the illegal and extra constitutional attitude by IIUI authorities is intolerable and will be resisted at all forums. The President IIUI should withdraw the illegal degree awarded to his son in absentia and complete pending corruption inquiries instead of faculty victimization on whistle-blowing, he demanded. The faculty members with outstanding contributions in teaching and research are being graded as adverse in their Annual Confidential Reports, which is very unfortunate, they lamented. The executive body showed serious concerns over victimization of faculty in IIUI and delaying tactics of IIU administration for the reinstatement of terminated faculty members. They said we have shown much patience and waited long for the promises regarding faculty reinstatement. However, further delay cannot be tolerated and will be condemned harder.
