Nawabganic oils are organic and pure

Published on: February 6, 2019 12:08 AM

Mariam Saeed is the founder of Nawabganic, which is a brand of the most organic and pure forms of oil available in the market right now. All the oils are cold pressed and offered in the market in a pure, unadulterated form.

“My husband is professionally a dentist and I am a clinical psychologist. My husband wanted to expand this family owned business; we started with oils which are nature’s most power packed items for overall health. Our slogan is ‘to a healthy community, naturally’ and that is what motivated us in the first place to begin with cold pressed oils and we gradually expanded into other products like brown rice and brown sugar etc,” Mariam Saeed said, while talking exclusively to Daily Times.

The brand Nawabganic is named after Saeed’s grandfather Dr Abdullah.

“He left us with very strong values to bring the best staple products to our people,” she said.

Each oil, cold pressed with care naturally contains nutrients and properties that enhance physical and mental health.

“People are generally aware of the miracles virgin coconut oil can have but are unaware of the benefits of many other oils such as walnut oil, pumpkin seed oil and blackseed oil etc. Each of our oil comes with a health motivation card which either suggests a benefit of the oil or an alternative use method. These cards have been made after thorough research for our special customers. Also, many people undermine the significance of using these oils in baking, stir frying, grilling or cooking as they are unaware of the taste and aroma of each oil. For example, a lot of people do not know how to use these oils in summer apart from hair care. Hence we intend to create awareness of such powerful products for a healthy community,” Saeed says.

Oils are an utmost important part of diet and skin/hair care regime. Since decades, oils have been used in salads, stir frying, baking, skin care, facial care and of course hair care.

“We at Nawab, believe that they must be the part of every household,” Saeed added.

Many people out there are consuming expeller pressed oils; oils at Nawabganic oils are extracted from traditional cold pressed machines called kohlu. “We have an open door policy; our clients can visit the factory site and see the entire process of oils being extracted from the kohlu and the chakki,” Saeed explains. The price ranges between Rs 100 to around Rs 800 per bottle.

“There are different sizes and we also provide large five litre cans of our mighty mustard oil and extra virgin coconut oil that we give on demand for families who use these for cooking,” Saeed says. Mighty mustard oil, striking sesame oil, tangy tara Mira, all rounder almond oil, warrior walnut oil, caring castor oil, apricot kernel oil, extra virgin coconut, catchy coconut oil, hair skill and hair cop for hair problems especially formulated, blessed blackseed oil, fine flaxseed oil, pistachio oil, powerhouse pumpkin oil and other products like brown rice, brown sugar, mixed nut brittle, stone ground flours, falsa chutney in summer are some of the most exquisite products on offer.

“We plan to expand our product line which will include products for daily use organic and natural grocery. We’re planning to make our procedures and setup as environmentally friendly as possible. We plan to eliminate single use plastics as well soon. We’ll try to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible and sponsor selective events for women and children. We also plan to give lifetime discounts to some special needs institutes. We see Nawabganic in the next 10 years as a brand focusing on health and customer satisfaction across Pakistan. We currently have nationwide delivery and our products are available in the leading departmental stores of Lahore, Gujrat and Islamabad. We aspire to stock some of our products with leading nutritionists or some restaurants that inculcate these oils in their recipes. Currently, we have our mustard oil stocked at Dr Shagufta Feroz’s clinic who is a holistic nutritionist from Lahore,” Saeed says.
