LAHORE: Pakistani model Diya Ali, who made it to the final round of Miss Asia Pacific 2016 in Philippines last month, now aims to add another feather in her cap by taking part in the Miss World Beauty Pageant.

In an interview to media, the model said that she had always dreamt of becoming a princess. She said, “I never knew my dreams will come true. We grow up listening to fairy tales such as Snow White and Cindrella. And we want to be princesses too.” She announced that she was excitedly looking forward to Miss World 2017.

Diya Ali, who hails from Sialkot, wants to break the stereotypes associated with women. “I want to excel in everything I do, whether it’s walking the ramp or acting. I want to show the world how women can excel in their relevant fields,” she said.

She mentioned that the competition was very tough and tasks included spending a night in the jungle but she made it through proving that women are as tough as men.

For the upcoming Miss World contest,Diya expressed that she was diligently committed to winning the title. She said,“I wish when I win the title, the prime minister of Pakistan is in the audience. And he sees me wearing the crown.”
