SHIKARPUR: A commission headed by Justice Iqbal Ahmed Kalhora of the Sindh High Court, Larkana bench, visited Shikarpur city on Wednesday. Local social worker Shahabuddin Usto had filed a petition in the Sindh High Court on behalf of the people of Shikarpur against the poor sanitary conditions in the city. He blamed negligence on the part of the North Sindh Urban Services Corporation (NSUSC) and Municipal Committee Administrations which resulted in a poor drainage system and general cleanliness in the city. The commission constituted by the Sindh High Court inspected the functioning of pumping stations at Begari Canal, Haji Latif Shah, Sukpul, Gol Market, Larai Muhalla and Kirri Atta Muhammad. It also visited various places of the city and held meetings with the District Municipal Committee and NSUSC administration in connection with an inquiry.
