A police official was reportedly caught on camera buying drugs from peddlers in the city’s Rehri Goth area. A video obtained by media shows an official buying drugs in the remits of Sakhan police station. In the video, the police officer can be seen buying drugs from a peddler and leaving on his motorcycle. As soon as the video was aired, Karachi police chief Ameer Shaikh took notice of the incident and ordered East deputy inspector general (DIG) to conduct an inquiry into the matter and take firm steps for making the area drug-free.
