KARACHI: Sindh Government has decided to demolish over 4,000 illegal houses encroached on the land of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR). This was decided by the provincial transport minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah while presiding over a high-level meeting at his office in Karachi on Friday. The meeting was also attended by commissioner and concerned deputy commissioners of the city. Nasir Shah said the KCR is a very important project for the people of the city and it is necessary to make sure that all illegal encroachments must be removed. Sindh government decided to remove all illegal and encroached structures as well as stating that unlawful occupants should be displaced from government land. The government is committed to start the KCR project and the Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah made it clear that the project will be initiated without any delay. On the directives of Pakistan Peoples Party leaders, Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to ease the traffic problems from the city and all transport, road related projects should be completed within the timeframe.
