Lahore’s new eatery PF Chang will quell your cravings but empty your wallet

Published on: November 1, 2018 2:59 AM

Lahore is famous for its flavours and its glamour’s. “Lahore Lahore Hai” a phrase we always hear when people talk about Lahore. In the past decade, Lahore has seen tremendous growth in its food industry and with many new restaurants flourishing, there’s a massive competition. If we are talking about Lahore and its food, then how can we forget MM Alam Road, where Lahore’s nightlife kicks off with numerous high class national and international cafes. MM Alam Road is kind of paradise for high end fashion lifestyle and exotic food experience. Where one can surely get a food place of his choice, if not then turn around the corner and step on Mahmood Kasuri Road which is sort of extension of MM Alam Road, all the eateries which could not snag a place on MM Alam Road are lined up right there. If anyone is interested to see the real Lahore, then head towards to these places.

Recently, I had a chance to visit and taste a very unique place at MM Alam Road, I never been to such place before, PF Chang’s named after “Paul Fleming and Philip Chiang” in Lahore is welcoming everyone with identifiable 11 feet tall stone horse that is standing guard at the entryway of the upscale casual restaurant. This restaurant is one of the most popular Asian-themed US casual dining restaurant chain which is running in Lahore. The interior is amazingly designed with paintings and writings inChinese, American and Pakistani language. There is so much to see in the restaurant that you would never have to worry about a lull in dinner conversation. You are welcomed in a very hospitable style and service is so personalised. It would be hard to find an inch in the restaurant that has not been covered either in graffiti, paintings, verses of poetry, pictures and posters. Brightly coloured lamps help the fairy lights create a very homely, comfortable environment.

The restaurant is quite popular amongst Pakistanis who have travelled to U.S, London, and Dubai where there are several branches already operating.

The restaurant is producing every single dish from scratch on a day to day basis. The restaurant’s specialty is cooking food through an ancient cooking techniques. The management claims that even the spices are not from Pakistan. Everything presented here is purely authentic, so the prices are going to be a little ‘up there’. They’re organic as well, completely healthy. This is not a conventional restaurant. This place isall about experience, every dish on the menu has a story behind it, and I want my readers to to taste that story.

During my visit I tried of some of their best dishes from around the world including the original Chang’s Mongolian Beef, Chicken Wraps, The Original Dynamite Shrimp, Cheng-du Lamb, Chang’s Spicy Chicken, and wide variety of handmade Sushi and more

During my visit I tried of some of their best dishes from around the world including the original Chang’s Mongolian Beef, Chicken Wraps, The Original Dynamite Shrimp, Cheng-du Lamb, Chang’s Spicy Chicken, and wide variety of handmade Sushi andmore. For me it’s a place to sit with friends do gossips with mouth watering food.

Food quality: 4.5 stars out of 5

Weakness of this restaurant:

However, while talking about the weakness of this place, this place is not for the working class, they have targeted the upper middle class and off course the elite. So go with your wallets packed.

Important Pro tip: Head over toPF Chang’s if you want to enjoy some good healthy, nutritious, light and mildly spicy food because that’s how classy food is supposed to be. If you’re looking for a meal with some desi Lahoritarka then this isn’t the place for you. This is purely a modern classified restaurant.
