He is the best and I think it’s a great idea to create a trophy for the best player every season named after Leo Messi.” If that happens, Messi will not be the only player to have a trophy named after him. Spanish newspaper Marca has named several awards after Spanish football legends. For example, Marca awards the Zamora trophy (named after former Spain and Madrid goalie Ricardo Zamora) to the best goalkeeper of the season, the Pichichi (named after Spanish legends Rafael ‘Pichichi’ Moreno) to the player with most goals, and and Di Stefano (named after Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano) trophy to the best footballer of the season.
