Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has picked FC Barcelona to beat Real Madrid in El Clasico on Sunday even though captain Lionel Messi will be out due to injury. According to ESPN, Griezmann said he was gutted about Messi, but still believes Barcelona have enough fire power to counter Madrid. “It’s going to be a great match like all the Clasicos. It is a shame that Messi is not available for Barca, but they still have the players to win the game. Madrid is in need of a win to go forward, it will be a nice game to watch.” The French star added that it would be important game for the league table and that Atleti are working hard to stay close to the two Spanish giants in terms of results and skill. Barcelona rank first in the Spanish La Liga table with 18 points in 9 games, Atletico are fifth with 16 points and Madrid are two places down to seventh with 14 points. During a league fixture against Sevilla last week, Lionel Messi suffered a broken arm and was ruled out for 3 weeks. His absence did not have much impact on the Blaugranes as they beat Inter Milan 2-0 midweek in UEFA Champions League group stage fixture. Barcelona will play Real Madrid on Sunday 8:15pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST). Who do you think will win the Clasico? Write in the comments section below
