Additional District & Sessions Judge Tahir Aslam on Monday approved an interim bail for suspect Dr Mohsin Riaz while the prime suspect, his wife Ammara Riaz went into hiding for allegedly torturing 10-year-old maid child Kinza Bashir. Ordering the suspect to submit surety bonds worth Rs 50,000, the judge also issued notice to the Airport Police Station to present complete record of the case and Kinza Bashir’s medical report by October 29. The court ordered the police to not arrest the suspect until the next hearing. Dr Mohsin Riaz arrived at the city’s judicial complex silently and quickly disappeared after obtaining the interim bail avoiding media’s notice. The 10-year-old girl, who was brutally tortured allegedly by her employers, recorded her statement under section 164 at civil judge Sameera Alamgir’s court, where she officially confirmed the torture. Kinza was brought to the court in tight security along with female officer of Child Protection Bureau. When she appeared before the court, the civil judge asked the CPB officer along with policemen and investigative officer to leave the court room. The woman civil judge assured the child that she was in safe hands, there is no kind of pressure on her and that the justice will be served. The little girl cried while she told all her shocking ordeal, which made the judge teary as she penned down the incident. Kinza was then given in CPB’s custody after completion of an hour-long statement. The victim’s father did not turn up at the judicial complex while his daughter was recording her statement. Disturbing images and video statement of Kinza went viral on social media on Saturday, in which the child was seen showing wounds and bruises on her face, arms, neck and head, which she said she had received at the hands of her employers.
