When their masks fall off, All that has been hidden, Is left bare And our perceptions of people, changes overnight People often say, “First impression is the last impression,” But it is not true Personalities are sometimes, perceived quite wrongly Judgments go wrong At first, people seem to be the best version of themselves “How can someone be so perfect?” Our mind ponders over such thoughts. Until, the masks begin to fall Personalities are revealed The malice of their souls, comes out in the light, Like a harsh sunny day For those who have never been aware of it People with two-faces, On their dark days, Take off their masks And that is when the truth unravels. Negativity that has been accumulated in their soul, For all these years, Starts to spill on others They don’t see who comes their way And hence, their real versions are seen What a pity How hard their lives must be While they try to be what they are not And all we can do, is sympathise with these two-faced clowns, For they have fallen from great positions in our eyes.
