A three-day anti-polio immunisation drive kicked off in the provincial capital by district administration on Monday. As many as 4,700 polio teams are participating in this three-day polio vaccination campaign with a target to administer more than 1.771 million children up to five years of age. Lahore Deputy Commissioner Anwarul Haq said that teams will target 274 union councils of the city to administer polio drops to children in three days. He has directed assistant commissioners and health deputy district officers to remain in the field in order to monitor the working of polio teams in their respective zones. The Lahore deputy commissioner has requested parents for cooperating with the teams in administering polio drops to their children. The polio drive will continue until tomorrow (Wednesday).
