Rawalpindi police have arrested a-three member dacoit gang, recovering stolen cash, mobile phones and weapons from their possession. According to details, a police team from New Town Police Station headed by Sub Inspector Habibur Rahman, after hectic efforts, managed to arrest suspects from Double Road near Nawaz Sharif Park, including Wajidullah, resident of Allahabad, Noor Ahmed, resident of Gawalmandi and Shahid, resident of Pirwadhai, who were members of a gang involved in many cases of robbery and street crime. The police also recovered two pistols, cash and mobile phones from their possession. During the investigation, SI Habibur Rahman said, the suspects revealed 18 cases of snatching cell phones, cash and motorcycles in different areas of Rawalpindi. Police said the suspect Shahid has remained in jail for four months before this, in a case of robbery registered at Pirwadhai Police Station, while the two other suspects Wajidullah and Noor Ahmed were also handed out notices in a case of illegal weapon possession registered at Tarnol Police Station.
