Sir: Pakistan versus India not only a cricket match, it is perhaps one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Millions of fans from across the world tune in to watch this game that can be full of tears and laughter, heightened emotions and falling expectations, as well as intrigue and friendship. Very few games in world cricket can even hope to match the intensity and magnitude of this event. Now once again the world is waiting with bated breath as yet another contest between these two nations is scheduled to take place soon. Both teams are set to face off on September 19, 2018 in a game for the Asian Cup, and it promises to be quite the contest. A look at history reveals that the age old rivals have faced one another about 134 times, and Pakistan leads with 73 victories, with India recording 52 victories and four matches that ended without a result or in a draw. Their most recent meeting came in the now famous ICC Champion’s trophy final when Pakistan managed to walk away with a win. This win will give the country the mental advantage over their rivals. Hasan Ali and Babar Azam are key players for Pakistan, while Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumarah are equally dangerous players for the Indians. As a Pakistani I am hopeful that our team can repeat their success from their last meeting and win the game for the entire country.
