Provincial Minister for Higher Education Yasir Humayun Sarfaraz visited the Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI) on Friday. He chaired a meeting in which Planning & Development Additional Secretary Tanveer Jabbar was also present. Public Instructions Director Dr Muhammad Nasrullah briefed about the working and performance of the department. The provincial minister directed to fill all the important vacant posts in DPI. He also directed to compile data relating to colleges in computerised form. He said that a comprehensive software would be prepared to compile data and to make it available online. The minister directed to establish a teacher’s training institute. He said that lecturers must get four weeks basic training course after induction. Experts from developed countries would provide research training to all scholars. The provincial minister also planted a tree in DPI. Published in Daily Times, September 15th 2018.
