LAHORE: 4 independent MPA-elects from Punjab joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday, with 9 MNA and MPA-elects are also expected to join the party, spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said. Speaking to the media, Fawad said that PTI will not only form federal government, but also provincial government in Punjab, adding that 8 MNA-elects and 5 MPA-elects are willing to join hands with the PTI. The 4 MPA-elects from Punjab met PTI chief Imran Khan at Bani Gala and announced to join the party. Hussain Jahania Gardezi from Kabirwala, Syed Rafaqat Hussain Shah and Basharat Randhawa from Layyah and Hameed Patafi from DG Khan joined PTI. Moreover, MPA-elect from Muzzafargarh Syed Alamdar Qureshi and Masood Gilani from Khanewal travelled to Islamabad via PTI leader Jahangir Tareen’s private jet and are likely to announce their move to PTI too. PTI bagged a total of 123 provincial seats in Punjab, falling 6 seats behind Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which managed to bag 129 seats in total.
