5 celebrities who got seriously injured while filming

Acting is not an easy job as it seems to be. There have been many celebrities who faced serious injuries while shooting a scene for a movie. It does not matter wherever shooting takes place, the movie sets can turn out be a dangerous places for actors and actresses whether if it’s in Hollywood or Bollywood.

However, filming and producing a movie requires a lot of hard work from the cast, crew, producer, and director salaries, production expenses such as gear, catering, stunt work, and insurance. However,the insurance does not save actors or actresses from getting hurt or injured and yet some actors remain dedicated to their job and work effortlessly instead of taking a break from their work schedule.

So find out about some of the famous celebrities got severely injured while filming a scene.

Sylvester Stallone

In “Rocky IV”, Sylvester Stallone asked Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren to actually try to knock him out while filming the fight scene between Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago.

Lundgren hit Stallone hard in the chest which resulted in swollen pericardial sac and started pressing against his heart. Stallone remained in intensive care for nine days in a hospital at St. John’s in Santa Monica.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka had to rest for 3 weeks as she had injured her knee in Italy while shooting for her ABC spy series “Quantico” which was revealed via tweet by herself.

Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan is a well known personality in the movie industry mostly due to his brilliant stunts.

However, he always got hurt while doing the dangerous stunts. His worst injury was on the set of the 1986 film “Armour of God” which he claimed in his book “the one that almost killed me”.

In that particular scene, he was supposed to jump from a castle wall and land on a nearby tree. When Jackie attempted to the scene, he fell 25 feet down on a rock. His skull got fractured and he was rushed to the hospital.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Indian actress, Jacqueline Fernandez met with a minor eye injury while filming an action sequence for “Race 3” while playing squash. She immediately was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise broke his ankle while jumping between two high buildings for an action scene in New Zealand while filming “Mission Impossible: Fallout” in 2017.

The actor said that he might not be able to run again for six months or even after he was taken to hospital. But soon after  11 weeks in rehab, he was back on his feet.
