LARKANA: The drivers and owners of private ambulances held a demonstration on Monday against an incident in which suspected robbers snatched a private ambulance from a driver in Larkana. Reportedly, the driver Zubair Chandio and his supporters blocked the road with ambulances outside the SSP office. Meanwhile, the SSP Tanveer Tunio assured them that justice would be served and snatched ambulance, cash and other valuables would soon be recovered. The owner of ambulance, Mumtaz Jatoi said that a few ‘unidentified’ men hired his ambulance to shift a patient from Mahotta to Larkana hospital, but they forcibly took the vehicle from his driver and fled. He said that First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against four suspected criminals. Later, he appealed Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take a serious notice of worsening law and order situation in the district of Larkana. Published in Daily Times, May 15th 2018.
