‘Public will avenge my ouster in elections’

Published on: May 11, 2018 10:39 PM

MULTAN: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lifetime president on Friday said that the public will avenge his ouster from premiership by voting for PML-N and “setting him free from all the injustice.”

“This trend of injustice will backfire. There’s nothing in the cases against me and the public knows it. Now, it is up to the public to avenge my ouster and put an end to the injustice once and for all,” Nawaz Sharif said while speaking to a party powershow in Multan.

Addressing the rally attendees, Nawaz said: “I have just arrived after my 66th case hearing, but as long as you stand by me, we will put an end to the injustice and make amendments to the law that lead to my unfair ouster.”

Continuing his speech, the former PM said that the entire South Punjab stands alongside him and that the southern side will continue its support for the PML-N during 2018 elections.

He added: “On May 11 in 2013, you made me the PM of this country, and on the same date today, I stand before you with pride since I have fulfilled all my promises.”

Turning his attention towards Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, the PML-N lifetime head said that “even Imran accepted that the case against me was weak.”

He added that the PML-N has completed Metro Bus projects “long time ago”, while Khan is failing to complete the Peshawar metro train project. “How can you expect him to make a Naya Pakistan?” he questioned.
