Rupee gains three paisa against dollar

The Rupee on Thursday appreciated by 03 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 277.97, compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.00. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279.05 and Rs 279.20, respectively. The price of the Euro against the rupee increased by Rs 1.08 and closed at Rs 318.68 from the previous day’s closing of Rs 317.60, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.71, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed an increase of Rs 4.24 and closed at Rs 3751.91 compared to the previous day’s Rs 371.67. The exchange rate of the Emirate Dirham and the Saudi Riyal declined by 01 and 03 paisa, closing at Rs 75.68 and Rs 74.01, respectively.
