LAHORE: The Supreme Court will resume hearing of the clean drinking water case among others in the apex court’s Lahore registry on Saturday. A two-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar and comprising of Justice Umar Atta Bandial will conduct hearing of alleged embezzlement by clean drinking water commission, alleged Railways corruption case among others in Lahore. According to the SC cause list, hearing of cases pertaining poor condition of hospitals in Punjab, illegal marriage halls, corruption allegations against 56 companies, murder of a journalist in Sambrial, alleged corruption in Pakistan Railways and excess fee charged by medical colleges will be conducted. The SC has also summoned Punjab chief secretary, inspector general, CEO clean drinking water company among other government officers to appear before the apex court on Saturday.
