KHAIRPUR: At least three children lost their lives on Monday due to fresh measles outbreak. Reportedly, three-year-old Nadeem Sodhar and four-year-old Maqbool Ali, died in Bozdar wada village while a child named Siraj Ahmed died in Mubarak Channer village. The villagers claimed that at least six children died while others are suffering. They demanded health department to appoint doctors in their village for the treatment. Man kills wife for ‘honour’ In another case of alleged honour killing also known as ‘Karo-Kari’, a husband killed his wife on Monday in Fateh Sundrani village near Mirpur Mathelo. According to report, accused Busharat Ali gunned down his wife Mariam at his house in Fateh Sundrani village. The police arrived and shifted body of the deceased to a hospital for post-mortem. Meanwhile, Busharat escaped from the spot. Tractor driver dies A tractor driver, Muhammad Azeem, died on Monday after being crushed under the overturned tractor near Choundiko in district Naushero Feroze. Consequently, police arrived and took the body into custody. The body was shifted to rural health center for legal purpose. Published in Daily Times, April 24th 2018.
