SU organises ceremony to honour its committees

Published on: April 24, 2018 3:36 AM

HYDERABAD: A recognition ceremony was organised at the secretariat of Dr Burfat who appeared as a chief host to acknowledge and appreciate members of all committees who efficiently organised Sindh University (SU) academic convocation 2015 in March instant.

“Cohesive and dedicated team-effort is a secret behind success. It is an honour for me to lead SU and its competent human resource comprised of highly learned faculty, experts and scientists,” Dr Burfat remarked. Dr Burfat further observed that the spirit, acumen, expertise and efficiency exhibited by teachers, officers, employees and student-volunteers has been incredible. Prof Dr Sarfaraz Hussain Solangi expressed his gratitude to Hyderabad DIG Javed Alam Odho and Mehran Television Network CEO Ghulam Nabi Morai for their participation.

Upon successful organisation of the convocation, DIG Odho said that he was honoured to be a part of it. “As a top brass of police, I also endorse such event. When we acknowledge efforts of our ‘Jawaans’, they do not even hesitate to die for a noble cause. This implies that Dr Burfat is a devoted and inspiring leader”, he remarked. Earlier, Dr Solangi welcomed guests and thanked the vice-chancellor for hosting the ceremony. The conveners of convocation committees were presented by a shield of honour. The ceremony concluded with a musical session in which Bedil Masroor, Ustad Barkat Faqeer, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Qureshi, Sada Bahar, Naimatullah Khilji and Saeed Ahmed Mangi rendered songs.
