KHANEWAL: A three-year-old child was shot by a suspected criminal gang. Family of the deceased boy protested against the district police of Khanewal for not arresting the murderers. According to report, Hussain Subani Butt along with his nephew Haris Butt came at the door when two suspects knocked on the door of their house on April 15. They opened fire on Haris Butt and one bullet hit him in the head. Rescue 1122 team shifted him to DHQ Hospital but the doctors referred him to Nishtar Hospital in Multan. He succumbed to his critical injuries and died on late Friday night. His family and residents of the area held a protest and alleged that the police have been supporting the criminal gang namely Pirowal despite the fact that first information report (FIR) has been registered. They demanded Khanewal DPO, Multan RPO, Punjab Police IG and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the incident and include terrorism charge in the FIR.
