Swedish DJ and producer Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, passed away in Muscat, Oman on Friday. Bergling’s representatives confirmed the news in a statement: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman, this Friday afternoon local time, 20 April.” It was further added that the deceased’s family is devastated and that “we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.” There has yet not been any statement regarding the cause of death, however.
