LAHORE: Crimson partnered with acclaimed fashion brand Saira Shakira to present their spring/summer 2017 lawn collection. The brand held a launch tea at Cosa Nostra in an elegant setting. Aden and Rehan did the PR for the brand thus there was a long list of media personalities, socialites, bloggers, models and journalists in attendance. The collection is an epitome of Saira Shakira’s signature pastel hues punctuated with quality light weight fabrics, floral and feminine prints. Solivagant luxury lawn collection by Saira Shakira takes inspiration from the free-spirited woman who loves to wander. The collection consists of eight diverse designs in two colour ways each. The design details highlighted scenery inspired needlework, highlands, water and surreal prints. There are vibrant silk duppatas, embellished add-ons and detailed embroideries in the most perfect summer colours. You can take this jorra from day to night. The collection has all the dynamism of luxury wear and the practicality of lawn. Saira Shakira have truly made their presence felt in a very short span of time. We witnessed how within minutes the collection Solivagant was sold out. And how people waited in lines to get a Crimson lawn jora. It exhibits just how powerful a force women can be. Speaking about the collection, the brand’s creative director Saira Faisal said while talking exclusively to Daily Times, “We were absolutely bowled over by the response. It’s been a humbling experience. As for the people who waited in lines to get a Saira Shakira lawn jorra, I’m sure it was worth the wait.” I ask the immensely-talented designer about her experience working with Team Crimson. “This is our second time around with Crimson and it’s been all good so far. I think we’re proved that we’re a good team working together. Our equations produce good results,” she said. After such a huge success, should we be looking forward to Volume 2? “We don’t believe in mass production lawn collection volume after volume. So from Saira Shakira, you can expect one lawn collection each year and one luxury collection. Look forward to our luxury collection being released on Eid, that’s something to be excited about,” she says. “We are overwhelmed with the response. We received orders from all over the world. It was such a good feeling to see how Crimson has even reached our community living outside of Pakistan. Becoming one of the fastest growing brand in such a short period is very encouraging for us. We at Crimson want to create beautiful clothes at affordable prices,” Crimson CEO Anum Javad added.
