LAHORE: Around 60 new public toilets units will be installed in strategic locations across the city to help address the challenge of defecation, said Lahore Commissioner Abdullah Khan Sumbal while presiding over a meeting here on Wednesday. The commissioner said that civil work on 10 units would be completed by March 20. Giving the break-up, the commissioner said that out of 60 units, 30 would be for males, 10 for females, 10 each for disabled men and women. The locations where public toilets would be installed include Karim Block Market, Ichhra, Niazi Chowk, Bekhaywal, Near Mian Mir Darbar, Vegetable Market, General Bus Stand, Mauza Raiwind Road and Fateh Garh. He said that the Punjab government was committed to keeping the city clean to eliminating human waste as per the world standards.
