LAHORE: The 3rd Annual Convocation Ceremony of the Fazaia College of Education for Women, Lahore was held on Friday. Education Minister Punjab Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan graced the occasion as the chief guest. Air Vice Marshal (r) Faaiz Amer and Air University vice chancellor presided over the ceremony. Earlier, on his arrival, the chief guest was received by Air Vice Marshal Aamir Masood, Air Officer Commanding and Central Air Command of the Pakistan Air Force. While addressing the students on the occasion, the education minister congratulated the graduating batch on their achievements. “Women play a vital role in the progress of any society. In the words of Quaid, ‘No struggle can ever succeed without women participating side by side with men’. I am confident that you would fabricate a glorious future on the foundations that this exalted institution has laid down for you. No doubt, the Fazaia College of Education for Women, Lahore has been very efficiently and effectively fulfilling academic requirements of women to meet future challenges.” He also commended the faculty members on their efforts. The chief guest awarded medals and certificates to the position holders of various disciplines. The degrees were conferred to 310 students enrolled in different courses which include BBA (Hons), Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Education (BEd). Earlier, Fazaia College of Education for Women Principal Itrat Irfan presented the annual report of the college. The institution is not only one of the top ranking education colleges in the country but it is also one of the most prestigious educational institutions of PAF.
