ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office (FO) on Thursday once again summoned the Indian Acting Deputy High Commissioner and condemned the continuous unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian occupation forces along the LoC resulting in the causalities of innocent citizens. An elder civilian was martyred and a woman was injured when Indian forces opened unprovoked fire in Jandrot and Chirikot sector. The Director-General (SA & SAARC), Mohammad Faisal handed a protest letter and condemned the incidents. Despite calls for restraint, India continues to indulge in ceasefire violations, Faisal said. He termed the ceasefire violations by India as a “threat to regional peace and security” and may lead to a strategic miscalculation. The Director-General urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire arrangement.
