Gujranwala: Residents of Salamat Pura staged a demonstration protest against the district administration for demolishing and blocking their houses by construction of Dolphin Force’s Headquarters. The protesters alleged that they have been residing there for the last 40 years and also have complete legal documents for their property while the district administration has allowed the police department to construct the Dolphin Force Headquarter there as a result the front area of their houses is being demolished for construction of the back wall of the police building. They demanded the chief justice of Supreme Court to take notice of the matter and direct the Punjab government to not demolish their houses. Human traffickers arrested: FIA teams as a result of different raids have arrested two more human traffickers here from Gujranwala and Kamoki. Deputy Director Mufakhir Adeel said that accused Maqsood Tariq and Rana Taimor were involved in sending people abroad illegally. School employees demand services to be regularized: Hundreds of school health nutrition supervisors staged a protest for not regularizing their services. The protesters holding banners chanted slogans against the authorities and said that other than making lot of promises to regularize their services, the concerned authorities have not yet issued orders in this regard which created tension to about 1,800 school health nutrition supervisors. They demanded the management to take action about the matter and their services may be got regularized as early as possible. Two die in road accident: Two died and three were injured when a tyre burst here at Kamoki Gujranwala. It was reported that a truck full of sand was being unloaded when suddenly the tyre of the truck burst and some pieces hit the bystanders; Gulfan 25 years old and Abdullah 4 years old died while Hassan Shah 50 years old, Ali Raza 20 years old and Azan 5 years old were injured and were rushed to DHQ hospital. Woman, child fall into open manhole: A woman along with her son were injured when they fell into a manhole here at Ladhewala Warriach. It was stated that Razia along with her minor son Ali Raza were walking along the street on when suddenly she fell down in an open manhole.
