LAHORE: With all its colours, food and delicious tastes, Lahore Eat 2017 concluded on Sunday as all the visitors appreciated the festival which provided them a chance to try different cuisines and specialties under one roof. From BBQ to the delicious Chinese and roadside Chapli Kabab, everything was included in the wide variety which was offered at the Lahore Eat 2017. The special tea of Tea Cosy, Desi food of Waris Nihari, specialised food items of Cosa Nostra and famous Bun Kabab of Burnes Road Karachi were sold under one roof at the festival. Organised by Chapra Khan Omar of CKO Events Architecture and Latitude PR, the three-day Lahore Eat remained jam-packed at Fortress Stadium since Friday where more than 50 hotels, restaurants, vendors, bakeries and corporate companies set up their stalls to provide quality foods and different other items. Everything was available at the festival on special discounted rates. Bombay Chowpatty, Fade Bhook, Cosa Nostra, The Flutter Glutton, Luxus Grand Hotels, Sarak Pe Karak, Waris Nihari, Qabail Chapal Kabab, Tropical Island, Tea Cosy, V Aneela, Karachi Biryani, Hunter’s Cottage, Shut Up & Eat, Venus Pakistan, Boba Chew the Brew, Bun Kabab of Burnes Road Karachi and many others had set up their stalls. The entrance ticket price was Rs 250 however, special discounts were offered on buying online or using mobile apps. Similarly, the organisers had also bound the stall managers to sell all food items under Rs 300, besides 40 percent discounts were also given to the people who purchasd through mobile apps. The first day of the festival on Friday was unable to meet the expected crowd as only 7,000 to 8,000 people visited the festival, however, the number of crowd increased on Saturday and Sunday as it was the weekend which was the reason behind the massive turnout from citizens. The massive number of visitors was observed on Sunday. While talking to Daily Times on occasion, Latitude CEO Nusrat Jamil expressed her happiness and satisfaction over the successful organising of the festival and said that Lahore Eat 2017 was much more successful than Lahore 2016. “However, we at the start were thinking that delaying of the festival twice and harsh weather conditions may prevent a large number of people from turning up, but Lahoris have proved that they not only love food but they love festivals,” she added.
