Rising star Abdullah Qureshi planning to release new singles

Published on: January 26, 2018 1:31 AM

In a very short span of time, musician Abdullah Qureshi seems to have made his presence felt in the field of music.

He began his career very young. Based in Islamabad, Abdullah Qureshi started his journey performing with underground bands of Islamabad. However, about almost eight years back, Qureshi formed a band with some of his closest friends with whom he practised.

‘My music is a reflection of who I am. It is an outlet of my dreams, my passion and my life. I try to keep the music simple and raw because it’s straight from my heart. I write and compose the music myself and sometimes produce it too, so it is very close to my soul’

The young artist is skilled in singing and in playing the guitar as well as the percussion. He has sung plenty of cover songs and four original tracks on his official YouTube channel with critical acclaim. He has an international fan following.

Tracks to Qureshi’s credit are “Pardesi”, “Dastaan”, “Tere Liye” and “Intezaar”. If you listen to some of these songs, you would notice Qureshi’s experimentation with various sounds and rhythms that help him prove his vocals and range.

“My music is a reflection of who I am. It is an outlet of my dreams, my passion and my life. I try to keep the music simple and raw because it’s straight from my heart. I write and compose the music myself and sometimes produce it too, so it is very close to my soul,” Qureshi expresses.

For those of you who don’t know, Qureshi has also participated in ‘Nescafe Basement’ Season 4 and also ‘Levi’s Live’; platforms that initially propelled him to fame

One thing that deserves a special mention is that Qureshi has also in the past, collaborated with both local and Indian musicians for a track titled “Imagine” in order to promote peace between the two countries.

For those of you who don’t know, Qureshi has also participated in ‘Nescafe Basement’ Season 4 and also ‘Levi’s Live’; platforms that initially propelled him to fame.

However, now the icing on the cake may be that Qureshi has announced new singles to be released soon. We absolutely cannot wait and wish the rising star all the very best.
