PESHAWAR: Central Ameer Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said that divergence from Devine teachings was the only reason of chaos and terrorism in the world. He was addressing international congregation to mark the centennial celebrations of the JUI-F in Aza Khail Park Nowshera on Friday. Imam-e-Kaba Ash Shiekh Salih Bin Ibrahim and minister of Religious affairs Salih Bin Abdul Aziz were also present on the occasion. Earlier Imam-e-Kaba Ash Shiekh Salih bin Ibrahim led Friday prayers and addressed the sermon (Khutba). He congratulated JUI-F leaders for marking their centennial celebration of the party. Imam-e-Kaaba said Islam is a religion of peace and love and emphasised that the path to correction lies only in the Holy Quran and the ways of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). “Allah has made this Ummah the best nation, for the purpose to uphold justice and tolerance and teaching of Islam which is the religion of peace and harmony” he remarked. He stressed instructed people to hold follow the injunction of fast to God Almighty (Allah) and refrain from terrorism and divisiveness. Imam-e-Kaaba also prayed for the Muslims suffering in Syria and Palestine. Addressing the gathering, Saudi Arabia’s Religious Affairs Minister Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh termed Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as ‘true brothers’ and said the two countries were united in protection of Islam and the Holy Kaaba. Congratulating Fazl over the centenary celebration, the minister praised JUI-F’s efforts in “protecting the faith of Muslims in the sub-continent.” Jamiat UIema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman on this occasion welcomed the international guests and delegations of Ulema who participated from 52 Islamic countries. He said that today it was a historical day for JUI-F for holding this largest congregation of world religious leaders and scholars. He said that today they are united to convey a message of peace and brotherhood to international community. Tight security arrangements have been made for the JUI-F international congregation as heavy contingent of Police and 25000 volunteers are performing their duties in this mammoth congregation. To avert any untoward incident 700 close circuits television cameras have been installed in the venue. He expressed concern over a “growing inclination towards terrorism and extremism” among people. He urged world leaders to follow the Divine teaching and adhered with the principle of morality and humanity to maintain peace and stability in the world. He called for a ban on NGOs working on what he termed as “foreign agenda” and said efforts are needed to resolve all issues, notably the Kashmir dispute. According to Information Secretary of JUI-F, Abdul Jalil, four million people are expected to be attending the celebration, along with delegates from 52 countries including Bangladesh, UK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Qatar and Middle East. It was the first day of the JUI-F religious congregation and several leader has promised to attend JUI-F historic congregation. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has also vowed to participate in JUI-F centennial celebrations.
