Hyderabad: The Inspector General of Sindh Police Mr AD Khwaja on Sunday said that police had not arrested any of the real accused involved in the double murder case of two Hindu traders. Mr Khowaja arrived in Mithi to offer his condolences with the aggrieved family of two trader brothers, Dileep and Chandar Kumar Meheshwari, who were shot dead by two motorcyclists in the Shahi Bazaar during a robbery attempt a week ago. Mr Khowaja after meeting Peerambar Meheshawri, the father of the victims and other relatives and assured them of full support in tracing the real killers of the two brothers. He said that the police during the raids had detained some persons but late released all of them since they could not get any conclusive evidence of their involvement in the double murder case. ” I have directed the police officials including SSP Thar Ameer Saud Magsi not to arrest any innocent person and we are trying to avoid making any reckless arrest which will certainly not help us get to real culprits’ he added. Mr Khowaja said it was a tragic incident in the peaceful town and reiterated that all those behind the incident would be arrested. Published in Daily Times, January 15th 2018.
