ISLAMABAD: The Iranian Film Festival under the auspices of Cultural Consulate of Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) and Asia Film Peace Festival will start today (Monday). Minister of state for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Maryam Aurangzab will grace the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest. Inaugural ceremony will be held at the PNCA Auditorium. Other prominent figures, including Iranian Cultural Consular Shahabudin Darai, PNCA DG Syed Jamal Shah and Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan Mehdi Honordost, would also attend the inaugural ceremony. The five-day film festival includes five famous and Oscar award achieving films – ‘So Far So Close’, ‘Where Are My Shoes’, ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘A Cube of Sugar and Crazy Castle’. A high level Iranian cinema and film industry delegation will also grace the occasion, which include Iranian film actors and film producers. First two film shows will be available for public on Dec 11 and Dec 12 at PNCA. Three other films will be screened on Dec 13, 14 and 15 at the Lok Virsa. Published in Daily Times, December 11th 2017.
