The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday that 10 terrorists, a part of a nexus between Indian sponsored Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khwarij, were killed in the last 24 hours.

“In continuation of security forces operations against the terrorist nexus of Indian sponsored Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khwarij, comprehensive joint operations are being carried out in different parts of Balochistan to weed out remnants of terrorists and their facilitators,” the ISPR said in a statement today.

It said that security forces conducted multiple intelligence-based area sanitisation and targeted operations in District Surab and District Mastung of Balochistan.

“During these operations, security forces effectively engaged the terrorist locations, killing seven terrorists in District Surab.

Whereas three terrorists were killed and two female Suicide Bombers, along with a facilitator, were also apprehended in District Mastung belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan.”

The military’s media wing said that weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices used by terrorists were also recovered.

“Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.”

Separately, at least three people were killed and three others injured when unidentified armed assailants opened fire on a passenger coach near the Mastung area of Balochistan on Wednesday, according to police sources quoted by TV channels.

Initial reports said the coach was travelling from Quetta to Karachi when it came under attack. Three passengers died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries in the incident.

Upon receiving information, police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital.

Law enforcement personnel cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace those involved in the attack.

Moreover, a police official was martyred after unidentified armed assailants opened fire on him in South Waziristan on Wednesday. According to police, Mehran Mehsud, the station clerk (Muharrir) of Sarwekai Police Station was on his way home from the police station when unidentified gunmen ambushed and shot him. He died at the scene.

Following the incident, police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers. Police said an investigation has been initiated and raids are being carried out at various locations to arrest those involved in the attack.
