Gold prices edge higher in Pakistan

Published on: July 25, 2026 3:12 PM

Gold prices recorded a modest increase in Pakistan on Friday, with both per tola and 10-gram rates moving higher in line with gains in the international bullion market.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of one tola of gold increased by Rs300, taking it to Rs427,736. The association said the latest adjustment reflects changes in global gold prices and prevailing market conditions.

The price of 10 grams of gold also registered an increase of Rs257, reaching Rs366,714. Dealers said domestic gold prices are largely influenced by fluctuations in international bullion rates as well as movements in the exchange rate.

In the global market, the price of gold rose by $3 per ounce, with bullion trading at $4,053 per ounce. International gold prices continue to respond to a range of factors, including investor demand, central bank policies, geopolitical developments, and expectations regarding interest rates.

Market analysts note that even small changes in global bullion prices can affect local gold rates, as Pakistan’s gold market closely follows international trends. They added that investors often turn to gold during periods of economic uncertainty, while demand from jewellers and consumers also plays a role in determining domestic prices.

Although the latest increase is relatively modest, gold remains one of the most closely watched commodities in Pakistan, particularly among investors seeking a hedge against inflation and currency fluctuations. Traders expect prices to remain sensitive to developments in international financial markets over the coming days.

Consumers planning to purchase jewellery or invest in gold are advised to monitor daily price updates, as bullion rates may continue to fluctuate in response to changes in global market sentiment and domestic economic conditions.
