The operation took place in the Ghwakhwa area of Lower South Waziristan, where an explosives-laden vehicle was destroyed before it could be used against civilians, helping avert significant loss of life and property.

Moreover, security sources said the vehicle had been prepared for a large-scale terrorist attack and was carrying a significant quantity of explosives. Acting on intelligence, security personnel closely monitored the suspected vehicle and carefully planned the operation to ensure maximum effectiveness while protecting nearby communities from any possible danger.
Meanwhile, officials revealed that security forces maintained surveillance on the vehicle for three consecutive days before taking action. They launched the operation only after confirming that the vehicle had moved away from populated areas, a decision aimed at reducing risks to innocent civilians and preventing collateral damage during the strike.

Furthermore, the operation resulted in the destruction of both the explosives-filled vehicle and a motorcycle believed to be linked to the militants. According to security sources, one militant was killed while five others sustained injuries during the action, significantly disrupting the planned terrorist activity before it could be carried out.
Officials described the successful operation as another demonstration of the security forces’ continued commitment to combating terrorism and safeguarding public safety across the region. They emphasised that intelligence-based operations remain an important part of ongoing efforts to eliminate militant threats, maintain peace and strengthen security in vulnerable areas of the country.
