Pakistani authorities have allowed 70 Pakistani students stranded in Afghanistan due to the prolonged closure of the Torkham border crossing to return home safely.
According to the border official on Sunday, the students had been unable to travel for several months amid border tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and had been waiting at the border for the past three days.
Following the necessary arrangements and coordination between the relevant authorities, the students were granted entry into Pakistan. They were provided with food and essential facilities before being sent to their hometowns.
The returning students expressed gratitude to the authorities for facilitating their crossing and hoped that similar humanitarian cases would continue to receive priority in the future.
